On March 17, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers announced the "13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Automobile Industry" (referred to as the "Draft") at the first member congress of the eighth session and the enlarged meeting of the council. The "Draft" specifically mentions auto parts in the "Thirteenth Five-Year" development goals, that is, the coordinated development of the entire industry chain, the establishment of a complete industrial system and independent research and development capabilities from complete vehicles to key components, and the formation of core key components of Chinese brands. Independent supply capacity of components; key components, core materials and devices used in new energy vehicles, intelligent networked vehicles, and energy-saving vehicles, with a local matching rate of more than 60%.

This time, in the key tasks of the "13th Five-Year Plan" automobile industry, it is mentioned that the three sectors of vigorously developing Chinese brands, insisting on international development and building an international level supply chain involve auto parts.

It is mentioned in the "Draft" to build an international level supply chain. One is to promote the development of Chinese brand auto parts industry. Support advantageous parts and components enterprises to seize the opportunity of low-carbon, informatization, and intelligent development of automobiles, accelerate the upgrade from traditional parts manufacturing to high-end, high-value-added parts manufacturing, and accelerate the formation of modular and systematic supply capabilities. The second is to establish and improve the parts certification system by industry organizations, build a promotion platform for excellent parts suppliers, promote the development of a strategic partnership plan between vehicle and Chinese brand parts companies, and promote the formation of a number of world-class parts suppliers. Encourage foreign brand component companies and Chinese brand vehicle companies to cooperate and carry out research and development and procurement of basic components and materials in China. The third is to promote the remanufacturing of auto parts and improve the reuse, recycling and recovery rate of scrapped auto parts and various substances.

As an important part of auto parts, fasteners play an important role. The development plan for building an international level supply chain mentioned in the "Draft" also puts forward requirements for automotive fastener manufacturers and suppliers. If fastener companies are or plan to engage in the production and sales of automotive fasteners, they still need to understand and respond to the planning priorities and requirements of the "Draft".
