New Zealand ends anti-dumping duties on Chinese iron and steel nails
| 2016-07-21

On June 9, 2016, New Zealand's Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) issued an announcement stating that due to the expiration of the 5-year anti-dumping duty levy period on the products involved, and the review process for the products involved, New Zealand has not started the review process since June 2016. The long-term suspension of anti-dumping duties on China's wire nails of iron or steel will be officially terminated on May 2. The customs code of the product involved is 7317.00.09.09D.

In November 2010, New Zealand initiated an anti-dumping investigation on iron and steel nails originating in or imported from China. On June 2, 2011, New Zealand made a final anti-dumping ruling against China's iron nails and steel nails, ruling that the products involved had dumping facts and caused substantial damage to New Zealand's domestic industry, and decided to levy anti-dumping duties of 0-110%. New Zealand has suspended anti-dumping duties on the above-mentioned products from June 1, 2014, and the suspension period is 3 years.
