Ford announces new investment of 1.3 billion yuan in China

Recently, Ford announced an additional investment of 1.3 billion in China, and outlined its development vision in the Chinese market. At the brand event, Ford Motor announced that it will invest RMB 1.3 billion to further expand and enhance the vehicle engineering development and testing capabilities of its Nanjing Engineering R&D Center. The investment project includes a state-of-the-art test track and a range of test facilities due to open later this year, a new powertrain laboratory, including a new energy vehicle laboratory, and a new energy vehicle laboratory designed to stimulate and encourage employees to think outside the box, hands-on practice innovation space. At the same time, Ford will launch two new electric vehicles in China, including the Ford Mondeo Energi, Ford's first plug-in hybrid vehicle in the Chinese market, which will be launched in 2018, and the Ford Mondeo Energi, which will be launched in five years.
